Richard Shearer is a senior executive with extensive international experience in the telecommunication industry. His experience focused on the provision of spanning wireless, broadband and fixed telephony services in some of the world’s most competitive markets together with technology and service innovation.

Currently, Mr. Shearer is the Board Member of Bakcell, the telecommunications group within NEQSOL Holding. Prior to being a board member, he held the position of the CEO of Bakcell from 2011 to 2016.

Before joining Bakcell, he was the Board Member at TPSA/Orange and Incumbent Telco, new TV Service Provider in Poland.

He worked in the USA, Asian and European markets in various companies such as Cable & Wireless, UK, PwC between 1990-1997 and became the CEO of DiGiTelecom in Malaysia in 1997; from 2001 he served as Chief Commercial Officer at T-Mobile in the UK and between 2005-2008 became CEO of BTC Mobile (Vivatel) in Bulgaria.

Mr. Shearer is the member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He holds a degree in Accounting and Finance.
