Emil Masimov has over 17 years of extensive professional experience in the information and communication technologies industry.

Since 2016, Mr. Masimov is the Chief Executive Officer of Azerconnect, a company within NEQSOL Holding. He is also Chairman of the Board at AzerTelecom and some other ICT companies within the holding.

Before joining the holding, Mr. Masimov served as Deputy CEO and held various leadership positions in the other telecommunications company, being involved in telecommunication regulation, information security, and general management.

In 2021, Mr. Masimov was awarded the “Taraqqi” (Progress) medal by order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for his efficient work in the communication and information technologies sphere.

Mr. Masimov is Harvard Business School alumnus, having successfully completed the Program for Leadership Development (PLD) in 2022. He also obtained an MBA degree from Manchester University in 2016. Mr. Masimov also successfully completed the executive education program at Cambridge. He holds a Master’s degree from the Baku State University and a Bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Public Administration in Azerbaijan.
